Pastor Brown is the Assistant Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, One Family, Two Locations (Port Norris and Vineland, NJ).
Pastor Kato E. Brown was born in the Bronx New York on May 4, 1962, to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (deceased) and Clarencetine (Tina) Brown. Pastor Brown is married to Rev. Cynthia Brown and together they have been blessed with seven children and 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Pastor Brown received salvation on April 12, 1992 and answered the call to servanthood as a Minister of the gospel in 1995. He was ordained as the Assistant Pastor on February 29th, 2000.
During his time here at Shiloh, Pastor Brown has worked with our youth department, trained our ministerial staff, taught leadership workshops, help to develop curriculum for our discipleship classes, helped to establish our Freedoms Ministry (currently called Celebrate Recovery). He is currently the Pastor of Education and assists our Senior Pastor where he is needed.
Pastor Brown is graduate of Bridgeton Senior High (1980), and after high school Pastor Brown enlisted in the Marine Corp where he was trained in Field Communications. He is also a graduate of Rowan University with an Associate’s Degree in Elementary/Secondary Education with a major in Language Arts with a G.P.A of 3.7. He is a certified teacher. He made the dean’s list and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. Pastor Brown is member of the Who’s Who of Education.
Pastor Brown is also a graduate of Philadelphia College of Bible, Emmanuel Bible Institute where he earned a certificate in Biblical Education. He currently attends Regent University pursuing a degree in Christian Administration and Theological studies.
Pastor Brown has also received training in conflict resolution and problem-solving while working as a jet engine mechanic and union representative at Dallas Airmotive in Millville, NJ. Pastor Brown is currently employed at the Millville Board of Education where he manages the warehouse and is also the President of his Union.
Pastor Brown’s greatest joy is to see the transformation of God’s people as they begin to realize their place and calling in the plan of God for their lives. His life’s verse is Proverbs 3:5-6; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
