Gary Mack, Sr. was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the late Rev. Eula C. Mack and the late Barbara (Beckwith) Mack. Gary was the youngest of eight children. The family later moved north to Cedarville, New Jersey where he was a resident for seventeen years.
Gary attended Myron L. Powell School in Cedarville and later graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1986. He spent most of his time playing his favorites sports andworking on the farms. These activities played a major role in helping develop a good and positive work ethic in him. He attended Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Bridgeton, NJ, where his father, Rev. Eula C. Mack, was the Senior Pastor. Gary also served as a youth usher, sang on the choir, and attended Bible Study which gave him a solid biblical foundation. After high school, he took up a trade as a Mold Maker Apprentice at Wheaton Glass in Millville NJ, where he worked for 3 ½ years. In 1990, he was employed at National Refrigerants Inc, and is still currently working there 22 ½ years later. The Lord has truly blessed him over the years to be promoted from a labor worker, to lead person, then a Supervisor, and now currently in the position of leadership as the Department Manager of two locations, the Reclaim & Cylinder Refurbishment Department.
In 1996, he married his sweetheart and friend, Donna Denise (Williams) Mack. She is a devoted and loving wife, a mother, grandmother, and the daughter of Arthur & Marlene Williams. She is one of eight siblings, born and raised in Bridgeton NJ. In whom none of these precious gifts or accomplishments would have been possible without having God and his wife on his side. They share together three wonderful children, Latoya, Latasha and Gary Jr. and three adorable grandchildren, Lavar Josiah, LaNeyha, and Gianna.
Donna has been employed at Wares United Van-line, which later became McCollisters, for 18 years, where she serves as an Accounting & Billing Clerk. Donna is very active in the church, where she also works alongside her husband. They enjoy teaching and providing spiritual guidance to every age group. Donna also serves as on the Intermediate Usher Ministry, Deaconess Ministry and she supports their children as well, who are very actively involved in ministries at the church.
The Mack Family has been residents in Fairfield Township (Gouldtown) for 23 years where they enjoy, first of all, being born again, their family, playing, watching sports and movies, working around the house, and listening to good gospel music & great preaching.
Gary has received several honorable awards and achievement certificates inside and outside of the church. In his current place of employment, he has received high level of training that consists of ISO-9000 & In-house Quality Auditing Training, Team Leadership/Communicating for Excellence, Personality Types & Values, Team Building, Problem Solving, The Study of Variations, and Root Cause Analysis Training and many others. All of these educational tools mentioned have helped him develop into a grateful and humble leader in ministry.
In 1996, his family joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Norris/Vineland under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Rev. James Allen Dunkins, where they have been members for 16 ½ years. He has served as an usher, van driver and sang on the Men’s Choir. In 2000, Gary was ordained as a Deacon where he became the Chairman of the Deacon Board 3½ years later. Gary received his calling to preach the gospel and was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in 2005. He attended Philadelphia Bible College at U.B.T. in Bridgeton N.J. for several semesters and graduated from Bethany Baptist School of Ordination in Deptford, NJ. In 2009, he was ordained a Minister of Christ. Gary, along with the support of his wife, Donna, served as the Youth Pastor of Shiloh for 3½ years.
He has grown and become a man of influence to the young and old, touching their lives through the word of God. This youth experience has made a tremendous change and has played a big part of transforming his life as well. Gary is now the Associate Pastor of the New Membership/ Sheepfold Ministry where they help “transform lives one at a time.” Their family scripture is: Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
